Ways databases can be used in content area

Databases are the new spreadsheets. But using the database, to me, is so much easier. Below you will find ways to implement databases to assist in the content area that is chosen.
1. Databases are, of course, used to keep up with things like names and addresses.
2. It can also be used to compute who all in the class has certain allergeries and who takes what medication.
3. Databases can be used to keep track of grades and
4. To store parent or guardian information

How teachers can better implement technology in their teaching methods

There are many ways that teachers can implement technology in their teaching methods and I will include my feelings in the following sentences. Teachers can pull, more so now than in the past, lesson plans from the internet. Not only are lesson plans available but also worksheets and examples on how to teach what is being taught. Teachers who teach technology, depending on the class size and knowledge of those in attendance, can have their classes online which is a great way to teach technology. If the students are not very familiar with how to work the computer, I believe that the teacher should have a few classes that allow the students to get familiar with the computer. Once the students know what they are doing the teacher can began to assign more in depth online assignments to further advance learning. Overall, technology in the classroom has changed the way teachers are teaching due to the fact of being able to collaborate with people all over the world.

Using presentations in my content area

Presentations can be used in many ways. Presentations are used in business and in the education arena. Here are 5 ways I believe that presentations can be used in my content area which is Elementary Education.
1. To present a powerpoint of necessary information about any subject area
2. To provide insight about how pertinent information can be found on the internet.
3. To show a slideshow of pictures of a field trip that will be taken in the future
4. To present pictures taken on a field trip
5. To instruct students or fellow co workers about the importance of keeping grades in an Excel spreadsheet.

Microsoft Office

I am currently taking a technology class and we are learning (for me reviewing) Microsoft Office. I have learned a lot of new shortcuts while taking this class and they are all helpful. But it is different using Microsoft Office 2007 and I am still in the learning process. HELP, everyone that is proficient in Office 2007. Thanks !

Technology

I am increasingly wanting to purchase new technology. Whether it be a new computer (or accessories for the computer), a new digital camera, or a new cellphone. But my problem is find ing the items I want at a great price.
